What do the WSDG need?

The Walberswick Sea Defence Group are principally looking to be able to raise up to £30,000 in order to carry out their emergency action plan for the very likely event that a breach of the current sea defences takes place.

How can I help?

Here you can pledge your support for the Walberswick Sea Defence Group by making a financial pledge for any value (above five pounds), this does NOT involve paying now and does NOT involve any sort of online transaction, all we'd like is your promise that at some point in the future you will be able to give the WSDG the amount you record here.

Making a pledge is NOT something that we ask of you only to then forget all about you afterwards!! The WSDG fund have a number of operating principles (also shown on the Helping Ourselves page) such as giving donors a fund report every six months, publicly thanking donors, even returning unspent money to donors should the work required be less than the value of the money raised.

For the first tranche of donations the Trust has also promised that for every £1 pledged it will add 50p up to a maximum of £10,000.
